Spoon University Articles
In Fall 2018, I joined the Syracuse University chapter of Spoon University. In this club, students write and make videos centered around food, which are uploaded on Spoon University's website. It is a food network where all the content is produced by college students. I enjoy writing these articles because the research and topics are interesting to me. My article, "Top 10 Fast Food Restaurants You've Never Heard Of," has 2,525 views.
COM107 Media Habits Analysis
In the Spring semester of 2019 in my COM107 class, I was assigned to write an analysis of my own media habits and of someone in a different demographic than me. I interviewed my mother to learn about her use of media. The purpose of these analyses was to find if media has the power to impact people's daily lives.
Research Report
During my Summer 2019 internship at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School, I was assigned with the task of conducting research to investigate how the school can market itself to showcase the opportunities they provide to their student body. The school is known as the "castle" because of its architecture. Villa Duchesne wants to replace the "castle" imagery with strong student images online. I reviewed any images that appeared when looking up the school on search engines, such as Google and Bing. Then, I wrote a report on what type of images appeared and how to replace the images of the "castle" to images of engaged students. The purpose of the research paper is to find some solutions for the school to tell a more compelling story about itself.
